Help shape our vision

We are looking for people passionate about supporting children, upholding their rights and fighting hostile immigration policy to join our management committee.

As a trustee for Together with Migrant Children, you will join a small team of existing trustees, who meet around 4 times a year plus the occasional online meeting to help shape the direction of the charity and scrutinise the work of it to ensure it carries out it’s aims and charitable objects and uses the money we receive from our generous donors and grantmakers properly, according to its purpose.

Our trustees are responsible for:

  • Working as a management team to set strategy in terms of the vision, structure, governance, policy and operations of the charity. Our management team include our Chairperson, treasurer, board of trustees and the operational directors of the charity.

  • Taking ownership of specific projects of the management committee, such as fundraising activities, grantwriting, policy drafting.

  • Attend meetings of the management committee and take part in our online workspaces. We usually hold physical meetings on weekends in the Oxford area.

  • Adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies of the charity.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in:

  • Fundraising.

  • Business / Management and business planning.

  • Previous experience as a trustee.

  • Lived experience of immigration control.

We want people who:

  • Are able to attend 4 meetings a year in Oxford.

  • Have the time to take on small projects within the committee between meetings, such as drafting of grant applications and policy and able to contribute to on-going discussions in our online workspaces (estimated 4-6 hours a month).

  • Share our values and have an interest in migrant and children’s rights.

  • Are computer literate and able to access email and use basic office programs.
